From topological states to topological quantum computing

Topological quantum computing is a robust approach to quantum computation, promising way to a large-scale quantum computer. We treat two types of problems: 1) hardware, e.g., what physical systems host Majorana zero modes, and how to process quantum information on these systems (e.g., fuse and braid the Majoranas), 2) software, e.g., how to perform the so-called decoding step of the error correction on topological quantum codes (e.g., surface code or color code).
