Recovering line-of-sight velocity distributions of binary stars

Címlapos tartalom

This project focuses on developing software to recover the line-of-sight velocity distribution of red giant branch stars in dwarf spheroidal galaxies, accounting for measurement uncertainties and binary star contamination. By integrating a Bayesian mixture model with realistic simulated observations, the aim is to better constrain the underlying dark matter density profiles on small galactic scales.
