We would like to inform our users that we will be performing scheduled maintenance and system updates on HUN-REN Cloud.
Maintenance period:
July 6, 2026, 8:00 AM – July 15, 2026, 4:00 PM
Service interruptions are expected during this period. During the update, virtual machines will be shut down and will not restart automatically once maintenance is complete. Users must ensure that they restart the machines themselves.
PaaS services relying on the central infrastructure, such as Slurm and GenAI4Science, will also be unavailable.
The planned schedule is as follows:
- We will begin updating the Ceph storage system on July 6, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM.
- Following the Ceph update, the OpenStack environment will be updated. This includes OpenStack components, the operating systems of the servers hosting the virtual machines, and the GPU drivers running on the hosts.
- As part of the maintenance, GPU resources will also be restructured. We will notify projects using GPUs separately regarding this.
Please do not start the stopped virtual machines until you receive notification that maintenance is complete, to avoid any issues.
Important: Updating the storage system is a critical operation. While preventing data loss is our top priority, please back up all important data before maintenance begins. In the event of data loss, we cannot guarantee that the data will be restored.
